Now, the images of their family have taken the internet by storm...

Dwarfism is a rare condition, affecting between 1 in 15,000 to 40,000 people.

Those living with dwarfism often face discrimination and social indifference.

However, more and more people with this condition are bravely sharing their lives to challenge social prejudice.

Charli, a woman living in Australia, has achondroplasia – the most common form of dwarfism.

In 2012, she married Cullen, who has achromic dysplasia – a condition that hinders physical development.

Both of them are of very short stature.

From the very first moment they met, the couple dreamed of building a family together.

They were well aware of the challenges Charli could face if she became pregnant, especially the risk of passing their conditions on to their children.

Despite these concerns, Charli became pregnant with their first child in 2015.

Doctors explained that in Charli’s case, there was a 25% chance of having an average-height child, and a 25% chance of not being able to carry the pregnancy to term.

If she chose to continue, there was also a possibility that the child could inherit both types of dwarfism, which could have serious consequences.

However, in the early stages of pregnancy, the couple underwent genetic testing to make sure this would not happen.

The birth of their daughter, Tilba, brought hope to the family.

She was diagnosed with achondroplasia, like her mother.

Specialists warned that she might develop additional spinal complications, but overall, she was expected to live a healthy life.

To fight against prejudice toward dwarfism, Charli and her husband created an Instagram account to share their family’s journey.

Despite the challenges, Tilba grew up to be a cheerful, lively girl who charmed everyone she met.

Still, protecting her from bullying required great effort from her parents. In 2020, the couple welcomed their second child, who inherited her father’s form of dwarfism.

Later that same year, Charli became pregnant again, and fortunately, their third child did not inherit any traits of dwarfism from either parent.

Alongside their joyful family photos, Charli enjoys posting humorous moments that highlight their height differences, such as oversized clothes or everyday challenges they face.

Charli shared that mocking or critical comments rarely appear on their account.

Most people express admiration and respect for her family.

The couple’s journey has been an emotional rollercoaster.

During her third pregnancy, Charli wished that the hardships she had endured would not fall upon her child.

She recalled dealing with nausea, fainting, and extreme discomfort.

On top of that, each pregnancy required painful genetic testing.

One such procedure involved inserting a large needle into her abdomen to collect a placental sample, with a 2% risk of miscarriage, all to evaluate the baby’s genetic factors.

Now, the family is enjoying a happy life together.
